One Man Versus the Answer

by Christian Thomas Golden

Question: how can violence be reduced or even prevented?

Assumption: laws do not prevent crimes. In fact, I’d say that laws do not even reduce crime. Laws merely prescribe justice post-crime.

Reasoning: criminals, by definition, defy laws.

Deduction: something other than law is the key factor in determining rates of violent acts.

Hypothesis: intense interpersonal positive interaction will significantly reduce the utility of acts of violence, thereby reducing violent crime rates.

Method of Implementation: I must get off my ass and get this thing started myself.
