Faithful with the Little

by Christian Thomas Golden

Before we hope to gain greater freedom, we must (1) recognize what freedom we have and (2) be responsible with that freedom.

Before we hope to gain greater faith, we must (1) recognize what faith we have and (2) be responsible with that faith.

Before we hope to gain greater love, we must (1) recognize what love we have and (2) be responsible with that love.

Before we hope to gain greater peace, we must (1) recognize what peace we have and (2) be responsible with that peace.

Before we hope to gain greater strength, we must (1) recognize what strength we have and (2) be responsible with that strength.

Whatever it is that we long to increase, we must (1) recognize what portion of that we already have and (2) be responsible with that portion.

Luke 16:10-12

New International Version (NIV)

10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”
