Once Anger, Now Love

by Christian Thomas Golden

I feel my anger slipping from my grasp.
The loss of that miserable comfort is accompanied
by a terrifying unknown.

Everything’s become new.

I must learn again to:
Walk
Talk
Eat
Sleep

Once judgment, now forgiveness.
Once pain, now joy.
Once slavery, now freedom.
Once fear, now courage.

Once anger, now love.
