Married to a Friend

Sarah is a rarity,
with a classic kind of feel;
“Come, let’s cook from scratch,” she says,
“Let’s make a homemade meal.”

Never mind the boxes,
packets, bags, deliveries;
I’ll take a home cooked meal by far
over any one of these.

Love and sweat and don’t forget
the local ingredients.
Joyful is the man who’s blessed
by marriage to his friend.
